4. Service description
RestorSignal is a backup-restorability verification service. The client or their IT provider freely chooses the backup artifact to test and triggers the test themselves using a local runner; RestorSignal doesn't connect to any backup console and doesn't discover or select any backup on their behalf. The service turns the results of locally run tests into an operational signal, a history, and actionable incidents ("RestorSignal Ops"), and can produce a summary report from that history ("RestorSignal Evidence"). The precise technical scope and limits of the service are detailed in the documentation (docs.restorsignal.com) and in the Terms of Use.
5. Intellectual property
All elements of the restorsignal.com site and the RestorSignal applications (structure, text, logos, trademarks, databases, source code of the admin interfaces and the Control Plane) are the exclusive property of MargePro SASU, unless stated otherwise, and are protected under French intellectual property law.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, or use of all or part of these elements, by any means whatsoever, without MargePro SASU's prior written authorization, is prohibited and constitutes infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
RestorSignal runs a technical test protocol on the artifacts the client chooses to submit. MargePro SASU cannot be held liable for:
- the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of backups supplied by the client, which remain entirely under their control;
- temporary service unavailability due to maintenance, a failure, or a case of force majeure;
- misuse of the service, incorrect configuration of the local runner, or the client transmitting data that should not have been sent to the API;
- the consequences of an operational decision made solely on the basis of results provided by the service.
It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the scope, the control level reached, and the limitations displayed for each result match their needs before any operational decision.
7. Governing law and jurisdiction
This legal notice is governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and absent an amicable resolution, the courts of Chartres shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions applicable within the European Union.
